Giant ironweed, a majestic and eye-catching native wildflower, emerges as a late-summer delight for butterflies. This tall and impressive species is a hassle-free addition to your garden, particularly suitable for wetland environments. Its striking blooms are adored by butterflies, as well as our native bees.

To cultivate giant ironweed in a garden, it is advisable to choose moist areas, especially if they receive full sun exposure. However, this adaptable plant can thrive and bloom in partial shade as well. If provided with more shade, it can even tolerate slightly drier conditions, broadening its adaptability to various garden settings.
